The first short film is now in production
Teaser for The Small One
I’m currently working on the first Vesper short film, an adaptation of the story, The Small One.
A bloom child raised in a lab now lives in the tunnels beneath the city with everything she owns — a cloth, a jar lid, and three stones in a line. When she discovers a rat with a broken leg, she takes it in and learns for the first time what it means to have something to lose.
Rendered in watercolor animation and inspired by the quiet, contemplative spirit of slow cinema, The Small One is one of the most beautiful, heartbreaking, and ultimately hopeful stories in the Vesper collection.
This is my first time making a short film so I welcome all the help I can get.
